Hi,

I haven't been able to change my logon screen since I got this Windows from a custom build gaming PC.

I have tried everything.

I have succeeded deleting the logon image from: "C:\Windows\Web\Wallpaper" and "C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData"

Before I deleted it, the image being used as logon screen did not appear from: "Settings>Personalization"

Regedit keys where logon image should be found online does not exist on my PC.

I have changed my lockscreen and set it to, free translation: "Show lockscreen background image on logonscreen".

Any help to make me change logon screen image will be greatly appreciated!

All regedit paths or any other hack are more than welcome.

Thanks

Ben

    ]Replace System Files:
    • Go to C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds and replace the backgroundDefault.jpg with your desired image, keeping the same file name and format (JPEG).
    • Also, replace background.bmp in the same folder.
    []Windows Group Policy:
    • Type gpedit.msc in the Run dialog (Win + R) to open the Group Policy Editor.
    • Navigate to: Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Logon.
    • Enable the policy "Always use custom logon background."
    [
    ]Disable Required Sign-in:
    • Press Win + I to open Settings.
    • Go to Accounts > Sign-in options.
    • Under Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts, switch it to "Off."
Before making changes, ensure you have a system backup or restore point. Manually editing the registry can be risky. Third-party tools like Tweaks.com Logon Changer may offer a safer way to customize the login screen.
