Windows 7 Can't download and visit websites at the same time?

i'm with mediacom and i upgraded to ultra 50 has anyone had this problem? when i download anything i can't visit websites at the same time

it was all kinds of files one was a video i'm using my browser only messgage i get is sever not found because i'm on firefox
