Windows 7 Can't install Modem / Router

I have just brought a new pc with win 7 on it and tried to install a D-Link DSL-502T ADSL2/2+ Modem Router. Firstly, win 7 doesn't automatically pick it up, I installed the Vista drivers, no luck, I then tried the Vista drivers then the xp drivers in compatability mode with no luck. I just got this modem, do I have to throw it out? The d-link web site has no support for win 7. I am posting this on my son's pc (xp)
Thanks for any help!

Ummm, did you read your manual or quick install guide? Both are available from Link Removed due to 404 Error and a quick look will show you don't install anything. You simply connect your cables then use your browser to log into the router. If using wireless, you might need to install the drivers for the adapter in the computer, but not for the router/modem.
