I accidently somehow disabled usb ports to not recognise removable devices and can't seem to retrieve it. I've tried plugging different usbs into my laptop but the icon does not appear in My Computer. An autoplay pop up the screen for one second asking me what do I want to do with the usb I inserted then disappears. None of the removable devices seem to appear on My Computer. Except for MP3s. Please help fast!

It seems like your USB ports might be disabled or facing some issues that prevent them from recognizing removable devices properly. Let's troubleshoot this step by step: 1. Check Device Manager: - Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager. - Look for any warnings or errors related to USB devices. If you see a yellow exclamation mark, there might be an issue with the USB drivers. 2. Update USB Drivers: - Right-click on the USB device with issues in Device Manager and select "Update driver." - Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software" to let Windows find the latest driver online. 3. Enable USB Ports: - In Device Manager, right-click on the USB devices and ensure they are enabled. If they are...

Power Management Settings: - USB ports might be set to save power by turning off. To disable this: - Right-click on the Start button, go to Device Manager. - Under Universal Serial Bus controllers, right-click USB Root Hub, select Properties. - Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power." 5. Check Autoplay Settings: - Reset Autoplay settings: - Press Windows key + I, go to Devices. - Scroll to "Autoplay" and ensure "Use Autoplay for all media and devices" is toggled on. 6. Check for Security Software Restrictions: - Sometimes security software can block USB devices. Temporarily disable any security software you have installed and check if the issue persists. 7. Restart the Computer: - Reboot your computer after making these changes to see if the USB ports start recognizing devices again. After trying these steps, please test your USB devices again and see if they are recognized by your computer. Let me know if you need further assistance or if the issue persists.
