chkdsk results

    Hello,

    I am not a techie at all and wanted to see if someone could look at the results of my chkdsk and let me know if there are problems? I had some bad clusters and something called read failures. I'd really appreciate any help or light someone could shed on this. I have read up on this in Google but I keep finding conflicting information.

    Hi,
    if your Windows install has been on the system a while then chances are a bit of corruption has set in. It does look like chkdsk has fixed whatever it found so unless your still having some issues I wouldn't worry too much.
    How old is the drive?
    Also try running a system file check too. Open an admin command prompt (search for cmd prompt in the start menu, right click on it and run as admin). Type:
    sfc /scannow
    Press enter and await results. This will tell you how corrupt Windows is and if possible repair it.

    You could also monitor the error count of that drive with 'Seatools for Windows'. It is free to download and to use. Replace the disk if you see an increase in errors.
