Choosing the correct forum

I understand it is poor netiquette to cross-post. What if I am unsure about in which forum I should post? For example, I have a boot-up problem which produces the Blue Screen of Death, so I posted it in the BSOD forum. but there might be (I haven't yet found it), for example, a "Boot-up Problems" forum. Maybe there should be a "boot-up problems" forum or "boot problems" forum.
