Windows 8 Compatibility of Windows 7 and 8 with Home Groups in Mixed OS Networks

My home network has XP Vista and W7 so I never bothered with Home Group. Are W7 and W8 Home Groups compatible? Just curious really.

Yes.. I think once they started using them, they will keep using them. IPv6 is required, however, and a homegroup troubleshooter will point that out if it is not available.

Go to Network and Sharing, Homegroup on lower left, then start the troubleshooter.
