Hello,
I recently moved and have had Comcast cable for a few days but have a problem!
I am having to enter my IP address and DNS settings manually because my computer can't seem to obtain it automatically, I have had cable before with no problems! I have been off and on the phone with support. they say its a computer issue but I have already reinstalled the PCI card drivers, flushed DNS and some other things I can't recall. once I type everything in manually I immediately get a internet connection but have been unsuccessful in automatically obtaining the IP/DNS info under adapter settings.

Thanks for any help you can give:)

Are you connecting directly to the Comcast provided device?
Or do you have a router between your computer and the Comcast modem.
Determine the Manufacturer name, model name and number plus any rev. numbers for your adapter and check the vendor's website for updated device drivers.
Same thing for any router (not the comcast device) that you may have in place.
