Windows 7 Crackling sound on Windows 7.

I am having alc660. I recently installed windows 7 and found out that my sound was crackling. I am not having any problem with my hardware I checked them on linux. they are working fine. I have used the microsoft default drivers and also the realtek drivers. None of them fixes the problem. I even tried to increase sound priority but it shows access denied. If some one has the solution to this problem please help me out. I dont want to remove windows 7 from my laptop.

Normally lappie drivers come from the manufacturer have you checked to see if there any updated drivers on the manufacturers website? If all you can find is vista drivers try installing them under compatibility mode..

Realtek has High Definition and AC '97 drivers. Are you using both?
