The most crazy thing with this Lenovo laptop, 3000 N200 is, that best as you are writing, the cursor has jumped several lines up and is typing into other text.

Some users had luck to have the mouse pad changed under the warranty period others not so lucky.

Same in Vista and there is no sensitivity adjustment to fix it. Weird any new driver hasn't fixed it.

Just a warning.

Solution
It seems like you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your Lenovo laptop, specifically the Lenovo 3000 N200 model, where the cursor randomly jumps up several lines while typing, leading to text being entered in unintended places. This can indeed be quite disruptive and bothersome, especially during tasks that require accurate typing. It's common for users to face this problem, and it's unfortunate that not all users have had their mouse pads replaced under warranty to resolve the issue. This problem seems to persist regardless of the operating system, as you mentioned encountering it in Windows Vista. Adjusting the sensitivity settings or updating the drivers usually helps in resolving cursor-related issues, but it's strange that...
Adjusting the sensitivity settings or updating the drivers usually helps in resolving cursor-related issues, but it's strange that these solutions haven't worked for you. Here are a few additional steps you can try to address this problem: 1. Check for Software Updates: Make sure that all your drivers and software are up to date. Visit Lenovo's official website and download any available updates for your model. 2. BIOS Update: Sometimes, updating the BIOS can help with hardware-related issues. Ensure that you have the latest BIOS version installed. 3. External Mouse: Consider using an external mouse instead of the touchpad to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the problem is with the touchpad itself. 4. Mouse Settings: Double-check the mouse settings in the Control Panel. Look for any options related to touchpad sensitivity or palm rejection that might be causing the cursor to jump. 5. Contact Lenovo Support: If the problem persists, it might be beneficial to reach out to Lenovo support for further assistance. They might have specific solutions or be able to offer a repair or replacement if the issue is hardware-related. I hope these suggestions help you address the cursor jumping issue on your Lenovo 3000 N200 laptop. Let me know if you need more assistance or if you have any other questions.
