I would like to know how I can set the date modified in the folders to default from the latest to i.e the mosty current date to the earliest date

Your assistance in this regard will be most appreciated

Click the title (date modified) at the top of the column and it will change to the default you need.

Thanks for the reply. Can one not set latest date aurtomatically as a default

If you click "View" - "Sort By". Then select "Date modified" and "ascending" or "descending", according to your wishes, it should do the trick
