Dimension E520 Freezing on Internet Access

I have experienced repeated crashes after a Win7 X32 Retail installation on a Dell Dimension E520. This occurs when trying to open IE or Firefox to access the internet. The crashes even occasionally occur when I try to access the Ethernet Driver in Device Manager. Anyone else seen this problem? Any thoughts? I've uninstalled and reinstalled the Ethernet Driver (when it isn't crashing) and have tried updating the driver to no avail.:confused:

Are you using Zone Alarm Pro?

I'm using ZoneAlarm Free that just came out of beta.

I'm using ZoneAlarm Free that just came out of beta.
If the problem is Zone Alarm and you are using Microsoft's Security Essentials, to check turn off the full time protection in MSE. If this is the problem, you will be able to access the net.
