Windows 7 disappearing ports

i have lost all of my removable drives
and dont know how to get them back
on the same machine i boot on another drive
and they are there but i need them on my 64 bit windows 7 install.
can any one please help

Are you talking about plugin usb drives? See if you can see them by going to:

Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Computer Management, Storage, Disk Management.

i have a card reader that will read 4 to 6 types of cards and it has 5 usb ports as well
and all of them used to be there but now they are gone...fyi this is a multi boot computer
with 3 OS 's installed if i choose a different OS they are all there...all OS 's are windows 7.
everythig is ok in the device manager...and no they are not in disk management .so i am a
little bit perplexed and the back of my head is starting to get bald.....
