ok I had to reinstall windows XP on my computer for some programs and now my windows 7 install is not booting anyone else seen this problem and if so can it be fixed through xp? the boot choices aren't even there it automatically boots XP

You don't say whether your Win 7 is on the same drive as XP, in a different partition. From experieince, I NEVER put 2 operating systems on the same drive....some people will argue it is perfectly safe, but as a Software Diagnostics Engineer, I would never advise that.

I also don't use Bootmangers (software type). I have XP on one drive, and Win 7 on the other. I then choose which to boot in the BIOS. This has NEVER given any problems.
