Is it a good idea to check off device drivers and also Windows upgrade log files in "disc cleanup"?
Each has a couple hundred MB's.

Thank you

Hello! It's generally safe to check off device drivers and Windows upgrade log files in Disk Cleanup if you are confident that your system is working well and you don't anticipate needing to roll back any driver updates or investigate recent upgrade logs. Here are a few things to consider: 1. Device Drivers: - Pros: Removing old device drivers can free up space on your system drive. - Cons: If you ever need to roll back a driver for any reason, you might need those old driver files. Windows Upgrade Log Files: - Pros: Deleting these files can also free up space on your system drive. - Cons: If you're experiencing any issues with recent updates or upgrades, having access to the log files can be helpful for troubleshooting. If your system is running smoothly, you can safely clean up these files to reclaim disk space. Just keep in mind that by deleting these logs, you're essentially removing the record of recent changes, which could be useful in troubleshooting issues that may arise. Before performing any disk cleanup operations, it's always a good idea to back up any critical data or create a system restore point just to be safe. This way, if you encounter any unforeseen issues after cleaning these files, you can easily revert to a previous state. If you have any specific concerns or if you're experiencing any issues with your system that you suspect might be related to drivers or updates, it might be wise to keep these files for the time being.
