Windows Vista driver problems

After I did the updates for the windows vista.... everytime i connect to someone on an xp computer using skype of live messenger my camera drivers stop working... therefore not a hardware issue but more of a driver and windows issue..... i've tried everything and the windows updates are te problem.... i know that vista has driver problems but i didn't know that that bad....lol
.... any one found fixes for it yet....

The obvious question would be what kind of camera is it?

go to the web site of the camera ...( i.e acer web cam , if acer made it ofcourse lol) update driver ......
