If one uses something like Irfanview to enlarge an image, most often it will cause the image to become pixelated and out of focus, becoming unusable for my purposes. Is there some software or method to enlarge an image and retain it's original clarity?

At the price that they charge for that program, it certainly should be able to do so. At $699 and up, depending on what you bundle into it, it obviously is for someone far more professional than myself. I wouldn't mind paying something for a program that met my particular needs, but the budget would be far smaller than that.

I found a solution that I like so far:

    http://www.imagiris.com/

I don't know that it will work for all of the thumbnails I need to enlarge, but it has worked very well for about a half dozen that I have tried so far...and it's free!
