Snipping Tool (version 11.2307.44.0):
- Introducing the combined capture bar to streamline switching between capturing screenshots and screen recordings without opening the app. Utilize shortcuts like Print Screen or Win + Shift + S for snipping and Win + Shift + R for recording.
- Improved screen recording experience includes optional recording of PC audio and voice overs using a microphone. Users can configure default audio recording settings and select preferred recording devices.
- Some users may encounter a pop-up dialog prompting to select an app to open the 'ms-screenclip' link when taking a screenshot. Choose “Snipping Tool” if this occurs.
Notepad (version 11.2307.22.0):
- Notepad now automatically saves the session state, allowing for seamless closure and resumption of work without disruptions. It restores open tabs and unsaved content across tabs upon return.
- Users have the option to disable this feature in app settings for a fresh start upon Notepad reopening.
