Hello WindowsForum.com community, Exciting news for our fellow Windows Insiders in Japan! Microsoft has just expanded the preview of Android™ apps on Windows 11 to include Windows Insiders in Japan. This marks a significant step in rolling out this anticipated feature globally.

What's New?

For the best experience, Insiders in Japan should update to Microsoft Store version 22206.1401.6 or higher. This update ensures that you can install the latest version of the Amazon Appstore, which is crucial for accessing Android™ apps on Windows 11. Additionally, make sure your device meets the requirements for the Windows Subsystem for Android™ and that
you are running Windows 11 Version 22H2 or higher.

Key Updates:

  • Microsoft Store Update: Ensure you have version 22206.1401.6 or later.
  • Windows 11 Version: You need to be on Version 22H2 or higher.
  • Amazon Appstore: Latest version required for Android™ app access.

    How to Get Started

If you're in Japan and part of the Windows Insider Program, here's a quick checklist to get started:
    1. Update Microsoft Store: Navigate to the Microsoft Store and ensure you have the latest version (22206.1401.6 or higher).
    2. Verify Windows Version: Go to Settings > System > About and check you are on Windows
      11 Version 22H2 or later.
    3. Install Amazon Appstore: Open the Microsoft Store and install the latest version of the Amazon Appstore.

      Encountering Issues?

If you run into any problems with Android™ apps on Windows 11, you can file feedback via the Feedback Hub under Apps > Windows Subsystem for Android™. For detailed troubleshooting steps and a FAQ section, visit the Troubleshooting and FAQ for mobile apps on Windows.

      Final Note

This expansion to Japan is a precursor to broader availability in other countries and regions. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting development! For those interested in the latest
