Windows 7 Experiencing Performance and Display Issues with MW2 After Upgrading to Windows 7

Hi i have just upgraded to windows 7 from vista, my mw2 was on vista and now on 7, but my screen size has been squished from the sides and everything is slow, i mean reali slow. I thought 7 would be a lot faster?? can anyone help or does anyone seem to have the same problem.

aS FOR SCREEN PROBLEM, TRY RIGHT CLICK ON THE DESKTOP AND SELECT "sCREEN RESOLUTION" AND ADJUST IT TO THE CORREXCT ONE.

the screen only changes size when plain cod mw2 ( call of duty modern warfare 2) im at highest resolution with my screen.
