Windows 7 f1 challenge 99-02

hi i have recently downloaded f1 challenge 99-02 game with a 2009 mod in it. It seems to work fine in test mode but when i try to start a race or a championship season it crashes to desktop. Has anyone got any advice?

Have you tried compatibility mode? Rightclick on the start-up exe and choose properties. Then change the compatibility to something like XP..

yeah tried it for all compatibility modes and non seemed to work. im redownloading the original game as the first game i downloaded contained an update patch. I will get back if it works
