failed audio

  1. i was cleaning up my laptop and next thing i know, i get a popup saying " no audio Output Device is installed. so i looked up on how to fix and i did what it said and something needed to be fixed but everytime it says the update/download has failed.

    anything else i could try ?

    What exactly were you doing ("cleaning up my laptop") before the issue occured?

    Try rolling back the drivers

    Hi! There is a possibility that it may have been caused by a Windows Media Center Update- SP1. Have you checked you Media Center Lately ? People are reporting things like their Vista won't play DVR-MS or Stream T.V., File Problems in the Media Center and Endless Reboot. No speakers installed also seems to be a problem now also. My guess is that the thing deletes previously installed files. Sincerely, Celestra :(
