Windows 7 file extensions

Do you know where you got it? Possibly it is a firmware/bios file for a device. They usually seem to be .bin files, but there are probably many types.

If you still need to know how to open it, normally the Bios update utility will ask for it during the upgrade. It just has to be available somewhere in the mode of update utility you are using.

It is a Flash upgrade for hardware on your Asus Computer. The Flash utility should have been preinstalled, somewhere on your OS, or may exists in the Bios settings. Flash products used to give big problems, such as , worst case, totally ruining your motherboard. Lately the situation has improved, but use the Flash utility with caution. If your computer works 100%, - leave it alone!
