Windows 7 Files not showing

I've just installed Windows 7 on my Acer Aspire 5920.

I have 2 partitions:
C:\
D:\

I installed it on the C:\ drive.

On the D:\ partition, the folders display, but the files do not. I've tried a few things such as Permissions, and Windows 7 cycles through the files as if it is changing the permissions. It is also displaying the correct amount of free space 22gb free of 108 GB.

Any ideas as to how to correct this?

You never really said what you have installed on D:??

If you have two partitions (C and D) and you installed W7 on C then why would there be any files on D?

Maybe explain your question better for more help

This could possible be a factory recovery partition.

Did you perform a "clean" install, rather than an upgrade?

go to Start > Run, and type diskmgmt.msc and post back with the information about your drives.

You may also see a boot partition with no drive letter.
