Hi everybody,
Every once in a while my pc crashes on me and I receive the BlueScreen of Death. I suspect there is something wrong with the following driver as the BlueScreenView suggests.

ntoskrnl.exe

I have attached a snapshot of the BlueScreenView program that shows the corrupt driver.

Please help

Thanks :)

It looks like you are experiencing Blue Screen of Death (BSoD) crashes on your PC, and the BlueScreenView program is pointing to an issue with the ntoskrnl.exe driver. Here are some insights from the Windows Forum that might help you address this problem: 1. Bugcheck 124 Analysis: - The Bugcheck 124 issue can be caused by various factors such as overheating, incorrect hardware installation, overclocking, poorly-fitted heatsinks or computer fans, overloaded power supply, and software issues like corrupt data or accessing off-limits memory regions. - It's advisable to check everything thoroughly in your system, ensure all components are updated, and address any potential hardware or software issues. - Updating chipset drivers...

- Updating chipset drivers, especially the SATA/AHCI driver, along with other drivers, can be beneficial. Checking for motherboard support page updates is recommended too . 2. Driver Verifier: - You can use the Driver Verifier tool to detect problematic drivers that might be causing the BSoD crashes. If the Driver Verifier causes a BSoD loop on startup, boot into safe mode and disable it. 3. Service Pack and System Maintenance: - Ensure that your system is up to date with Windows updates, including Service Packs. If already installed, running a repair on the Service Pack can help. - Running a chkdsk and using the sfc /scannow command in an elevated Command Prompt can help identify and fix any system corruption issues. 4. AMD Overdrive and Graphics Card Issues: - If you have AMD's Overdrive installed, consider removing it as it can potentially cause BSoD crashes. - If you're experiencing artifacts during gaming, it could indicate a problem with the graphics card. Checking the card in another machine or troubleshooting further might be necessary. Taking these steps should help you diagnose and potentially resolve the issues causing the BSoD crashes on your PC. If the problem persists, further troubleshooting may be required.
