Windows 7 Folder Options

Is there some way to set up default folder options (which items appear on the menu bar including file name, date modified, file type, etc) so that each new folder will be the same? I find it annoying that if windows senses that the folder contains music files it instead defaults to items like contributing artist, etc.

Right click on the folder>>Properties>>Customize>>Optimize this folder for General Items (drop down list)
