Windows 7 Freeze's and no icons

Link RemovedRunning windows 7 on a dell 8500 i-7 with 8 gig ram and notice every so Often my icons disappear such as in the picture... It show the circle thinking as if its looking for something,, have to reboot but happens again after a while .. no viruses and ran malwarebytes with nothing showing.. and combofix.. any ideas?

anyone know why this happens? if I reboot its fixed for a while

If you have not tried 'SFC /now" maybe it will help.

After that the only other thing to try is an in place reinstall of windows, if you have a DVD.
