I recently installed Windows 7, I copied my GC bookmarks and such onto the windows 7 side, but where do I put them. It may be in users, local settings, like on XP, but there is nothing like that in my user folder. Maybe it's hidden?

It is hidden. The complete settings, bookmarks, cookies etc can be found at -

C:\Users\*****\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome

In future if you want to back up all your Chrome browser data then just make a copy of that folder elsewhere. It contains everything from themes, to addons to cache data.

If you don't know how to unhide the folder then go to Folder Options in Control Panel and click on the 'View' tab. Then check the 'Show hidden files...' radiobutton. Apply and then off you go :)

To make those files appear and to be able to view hidden files you can go into "Computer" and press the Alt + T keys together and you will see the option to select "Folder Options." From there you will select the "View" tab and choose the option to Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drives.

Also should you require additional assistance with this process Microsoft does have an official Windows 7 Support Forum located here Windows 7 Category . It is supported by product specialists as well as engineers and support teams. You may want to check the threads there for additional support.
