System was rebooting and bios locked when trying to initialize seagate hard drive.

Took it out.. rebooted fine to other drives

Reset cmos .... put it back in.... still locked up

Tried other connections.... still locked up cmos at a different address

No obvious jumpers to clear hard drive.

How could rebooting screw up a drive so badly that it locks cmos?

Drive isn't very old but Seagate tech support won't advise because it's OEM.

Will try another computer as soon as I can get my son to stop gaming... who knows when that will be.

I doubt it will run on another computer anyway.
