    AMD XP 3200

    ASROCK K7 MOTHERBOARD

    2GB DDR 400 RAM

    PLEASE HELP??

  2. A modern CPU... check

Correct.. check the Aero requirements as well to make sure you can run the visual stuff. It mostly depends on your video card. You should be able to run. The amount of RAM you have is very sufficient and the CPU is really not that outdated.

It will also depend on what you want to do with the new OS as well. What version ect... I for one am going for the ultimate that way I can use as I want without worry.

I'm sure DirectX 9 will come with the OS automatically.
