Windows 7 Help please dynamic disk

I tried to make a dual boot with windows 7 and windows 8, but when I made a partition, the hard disk drive (C changed to dynamic.
Can I still upgrade to windows 8?
how can I convert it back to basic disk?
I have windows 7.

You may want to have a look at this article here, seems to have worked for a few people Link Removed
I would strongly recommend backing up all critical data and perhaps even a system disk image to be safe.
