So up until a few weeks ago my comp has been working flawlessly. I went on vaction for a week and came back turned by comp on and got a beep error code. I took out and reseated my ram and all was good for (close to a month) until this week. My computer went haywire was crashing non-stop BSOD or just plain restarting with no crash errors sometimes. I tried to update win 7 as couldn't bc of file corruption. So I reinstalled windows and even that took multiple tries. I finally got everything reinstalled and the system stable, but im still having some issues.

Whenever I am playing any game after a short while the computer will just freeze or sometimes restart. Sometimes I will get and error message and some times I won't. I also will get the beep code again from time to time. This is my most resent and biggest issue atm. this just started friday, thursday I was able to play BFBC2 for multiple hours with no issues. I have tried multiple games including torchlight which isn't graphically demanding and the same thing happens. After short while of playing the game freezes and my comp restrats itself. I have only gotten BSODs a couple times with this problem.

The beep code is three long continous beeps(I think). which is a key board error or usb port/mobo error. I have switched mouse and keyboard along with my usb headset and still the samething happens. Also somthing I forgot to mention was sometimes watching videos will cause a BSOD less crash and restart.

Earlier this week when everything was haywire I did checkdisk found some bad sectors and repaired them. I have run checkdisk numerious times since I renistalled and everything is fine. when I reinstalled windows 7 it kept all my old files in a folder called winold (or somthing like that). when I was trying to delete it my comp crashed and I came back and all the files were gone like they had been deleted. Do I have somhing stuck in limbo somewhere casuing a problem?

I have been using whocrashed to look at my dumpfiles and most are ntoskrnl.exe and unknown module. I don't really have that many third party driver on my system atm so I don't know what it is. I also have looked up ntoskrnl and all the fixes I find are for XP not win 7 which is utterly frustrating to me.

    My setup:
    Windows 7 Home Premiumx64
    GigaByte GA-770T-USB3 AMD 770
    AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.40ghz
    GTX 460
8 gigs of ram ADATA DDR3/1600MHz Dual Channel Memory Module(4x2 gig sticks)
    500 gig hardrive

No has replied yet but I tried reinstalling my nvida driver hoping that what causing me to crash, but it wasn't. This time I was given a BSOD error screen. When I used who crashed it says a third party driver is a probable cause, but says unknown driver. Can anybody help?

    Hi,

Can you update the chipset drivers for you board from AMD, can you also update your video card drivers from Nvidia and then see how it behaves.
If I notice any more drivers that are old I'll let you know.

Hi warheart and Welcome to The Forum.

    STOP 0x0000003B: SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION
    Usual causes:
System service, Device driver, graphics driver, ?memory

Your latest dump file lists ntkrnlmp.exe as the probable cause. This is a Windows System file and for it to be the cause of your crash is highly unlikely.
Old and incompatible drivers can and do cause issues with Windows 7, often giving false error codes.

    As a Priority:

gdrv.sys Fri Mar 13 03:22:29 2009 Gigabyte Easy Saver. If you cannot update this then uninstall it.

    Drivers with Updates:

    nusb3hub.sys Fri Nov 20 10:15:57 2009
    nusb3xhc.sys Fri Nov 20 10:16:01 2009
Go to your Motherboard Mfr. Support website and update your USB 3.0 drivers. Possible update Here.

    Rt64win7.sys Thu Aug 20 17:05:06 2009 Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller v7.046

Elmer noticed your memory voltage is a bit low, can you set it in the bios to 1.65v please. Been through a STOP 0x3B earlier and it turned out to be the memory volts on High perf. RAM.

Thank you both. I am working updated drivers and will change my memory volatge. To my knowledge unless new Nvida drives came out since last night(tried uninstalling and reinstalling). Mine are the newest ones. there are no updates for the acrosta keyboard, but if I have to I can unistall the driver. It doesn't really do much and I have no macros for it.

While I was waiting for replies I tried Bad Company again. Same story.....runs flawlessly for a few minutes then while playing it crashes. I actually got a stop error this time instead of the comp self restarting. I attached it below.

Just been checking you drivers, and a few are out of date. You can update you creative drivers using their auto updater
Realtek Audio from Here and Realtek Network from here. The latest AMD drivers for your board can be got here

I think that covers them all :)
