So, I have windows 7 64-bit and i needed to install xp professional as a dual boot. So i Partitioned about 30gb's of memory, and then installed windows XP. Well, now It will only start windows XP. And when i go and try to change the deafault OS on startup, Windows 7 isnt listed. But now, It says there is 2 hard drives. One has W7, the other has XP, but they are on the same HD, just partiotioned. I tried to edit the bootfile, but i don't know what to put to start W7!

Please Help!!

I wouldn't mess with the bootfile if i were you ;)
Is the partition marked as active in disk management? And has the partition been assigned?
run msconfig and check that both OS's are there.
go to, Control Panel\System and Security\System\Advanced System Settings
then click on the settings button in Startup and Recovery, double check that it's there in the drop down menu and that the two buttons below it are unchecked.
You may have to boot from the W7 DVD and run a startup repair, your bootloader may be screwed.
Hope this has helped :)

P.S Can you post any screenshots of disk management and any errors you get?
Cheers
