I haven't been here for a while, but it's because my mother is sick(and my motherboard is dead(i'll get a new one at 02.06)).

One of my friends have a problem with windows7. Asus f3e. It hangs up at asus flash screen, and when i got to windows boot screen and checked for problems it shows that something is not wright with I/O(cd-rom, hdd, removable drive or smthng)

I re-plugged hdd and cd-rom. Bios detects both - cd-rom and hdd. I put in windows 7 installation disk and took Repair windows function.
It can't repar because something is corrupt with with one of system files and it needs to run chkdsk. On this disk i can't find chkdsk so where do i find it?
It's build 7048.

Can you boot from a previous version of windows (Xp or vista) and use chkdsk from the command prompt from one of them?
