I have 3 computers in my house, and 1 printer.
The computer who's connected to the printer created the group, and 1 of the other computers joined it successfuly and was able to print through it.
The 3rd computer succeeded to join the group, but it just doesn't add the printer in the 1st computer as a network printer... I tried to add the printer in lots of ways and lots of error pop ups showed up. I also tried to close the firewall on the computer's antivirus, but it still won't work.
There's a massage on the home group window which says there's a network printer ready to be installed and there's a button next to it - "install now". I clicked it and nothing happened. Absolutely nothing.

Any ideas?

Solution
It seems like you're encountering difficulties adding the network printer to the third computer in your home network. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue: 1. Check Network Connectivity: - Ensure that all three computers are connected to the same network. - Verify that the printer is turned on and properly connected to the computer designated as the print server. 2. Sharing Settings: - Make sure that the printer sharing settings on the computer connected to the printer are correctly configured. - Check the homegroup sharing settings to ensure that printer sharing is enabled. 3. Windows Firewall and Antivirus: - Temporarily disable the firewall and antivirus on all computers...
3. Windows Firewall and Antivirus: - Temporarily disable the firewall and antivirus on all computers to see if that resolves the issue. This helps identify if these security settings are blocking the printer installation. 4. Printer Installation: - Try installing the printer manually on the third computer: - Go to "Control Panel" > "Devices and Printers". - Click on "Add a printer" and select the option to add a network, wireless, or Bluetooth printer. - Follow the on-screen instructions to search for the printer on the network and install it. 5. Homegroup Troubleshooting: - If the homegroup feature is causing issues, consider leaving the homegroup on all computers and creating a new one. - Reconfigure the sharing settings and see if the printer can be added to all computers in the new homegroup. 6. Driver Compatibility: - Ensure that the printer driver is compatible with all computers in the network. Download and install the latest driver for the printer model from the manufacturer's website. 7. Reset Network Settings: - If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting the network settings on the problem computer. This can help resolve any network configuration issues. 8. Check Event Viewer: - Look for any error messages related to printer installation in the Event Viewer on the problem computer. This may provide more information on what's causing the issue. By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue with adding the network printer to the third computer in your home network. Let me know if you need further assistance or if you encounter any specific error messages during the troubleshooting process!
