I have been a Microsoft customer since the first release of Windows as well as the first release of Office. I cannot connect to the Internet on my laptop. What can be done to resolve my problem? I am getting weary of trying things that do not help me.

From the sounds of it you might be a victim of malicious software -- you are unable to perform certain administrator tasks and you cannot get on the internet? What type of internet connection do you use?

When you say that your laptop will not let you reinstall Windows -- what do you mean? Which error message do you receive?

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD and perform a "custom" install from there.

What happens when you boot from the DVD? Can you also perform a chkdsk to ensure that you do not have a hardware issue?
