Up to Windows Vista OS release, in all OS user can go to add new device and find suitable vendor name and select thier device and install driver especially device is RS232. I am having RS232 serial Infrared adapter name ACT-IR220L+ and willing to install Microsoft IrDA stack. But when i do Add new device Win7 keep search device to list me until long hour without finding anything for me and hang there itself. I try to find any other way to do so but could not.

I am professional Technical support engineer to support our product for Windows 2K/XP/Vista Mac and Linux. Up to Windows Vista i can do similar way using Add new device but seems Win7 changes something there to find wireless device but basic IR wireless stuff itslef seems to missing or hided somewhere else.

    Any work around for this.
