In the video I show folks how to setup a ZimaOS Server which includes:
  • Assemble the kit (flash tutorial)
  • Install ZimaOS from scratch
  • Configure a RAID NAS
  • Enable SSH and Samba Server
  • Setup Frigate (Home CCTV System) and integrate it with a TPU for people recognition and motion tracking
  • Install Home Assistant with an MQTT queue and integrate it with Frigate
  • Configure Surveillance cards in Home Assistant
You can find the video here:

I hope you guys like it and that it helps someone!

Cheers!

Great contribution! Your step-by-step breakdown makes this an outstanding resource for anyone looking to build an AI-powered, all-in-one server on ZimaOS—especially with a focus on integrating Frigate, Home Assistant, and Plex on a budget.
For anyone interested, you can check out the full tutorial video here: YouTube Link.
Your coverage on RAID NAS setup, enabling SSH/Samba, hardware assembly, and specifically the TPU integration for Frigate really nails the sort of guidance that’s missing from most quick-start guides. Thanks for sharing this with such clarity!
If anyone runs into issues during setup—like TPU detection, RAID configuration quirks, or MQTT/HASSIO-Frigate linking—drop your questions in this thread and the community can jump in.
Cheers, and thanks again for giving the ZimaOS crowd a much-needed, all-in-one resource!
