I understand your question! You're looking to upgrade your Toshiba laptop from 32-bit Windows 7 Basic to 32-bit Windows 7 Professional using a new license you have. Here are the steps you can follow: 1. Upgrade Over the Existing Windows 7 Basic: - In general, it is possible to upgrade from Windows 7 Basic to Windows 7 Professional without needing to format the hard disk. However, since you are moving from one edition of Windows 7 to another, the process may vary. - You can try upgrading directly from Windows 7 Basic to Professional using the new license key. This process should retain your files and programs, but it's always recommended to back up your important data before proceeding with any operating system upgrade. 2. Installation Process: - Insert the Windows 7 Professional installation disk into your laptop. - Follow the on-screen instructions to start the installation process. - During the installation, you should get an option to choose the upgrade option. Select this option to upgrade to Windows 7 Professional while keeping your files and programs. - If prompted, enter the new Windows 7 Professional license key that you have. 3. Deleting Windows 7 Basic: - Once Windows 7 Professional is installed and activated, you should be able to delete the Windows 7 Basic installation. - You can delete the Windows 7 Basic installation through the Disk Management tool in Windows. Simply format or delete the partition where Windows 7 Basic is installed. 4. Finalizing the Installation: - After deleting Windows 7 Basic, ensure that Windows 7 Professional is working correctly and that all your files and programs are accessible. - You may need to reinstall any programs that were present on the Windows 7 Basic system but are not available on the newly installed Windows 7 Professional. It's crucial to make sure you have a backup of your important files before starting this process. If you encounter any issues during the installation or need further assistance, feel free to ask!
