    I use Windows 7 Pro x 64.
I have an imaging program residing on C partition. I want to move it to E.
I tried to copy and paste but all I get is a bunch of individual pieces.
I need to be able to move the program and be able to double click on it and have it open and be useable, just as it does now on C.
I'm still a beginner and have no idea of how to do this.
    Thanks for any help.

The program has likely created registry entries, like most modern applications, and therefore, you cannot simply move the program files wherever you wish. You will need to uninstall the program and modify its install path to drive E.

    Mike,
Are there no backup programs that also track the paths in the registry?
    Thanks.
