Windows 7 I need a picture database

I don't know if I'm on the right site or not but can someone give me a helping hand? I have 10,000 pictures which date over the last 70 years. I have tried to organize my pictures by spending about 1,000 hours over the last 10 years. So I’m wondering if there is a database out there that could organize my pictures, by date, place, etc. Now I really have tried to do this but I just can’t get it done right. Now if there is a database out there I know I will need to spend about a 100 hours with it and of course there will be many duplicates but I feel the more I work with my pictures the more I screw up I get so can anyone recommend a database for my pictures and I will be taking a lot more in the further and I don’t need to get even more screwed up.

I cannot help you with the data base. But for the duplicates, I recommend this program. It is easy to use and really finds all dups. Awesome Duplicate Photo Finder - CNET Download.com

My suggestion won't work, if I can find some thing I'll come back.
There are programs that will identify dups, I think Agent Ransack will do that too.

Give us a few examples of how the file names are structured?
