Windows 7 IDT - High Definition Audio 5.1 DRIVERS FOR CQ40 425TU Mother-Bord

Hi All,

Recently i brought one 5.1 Home theater and m trying it to connect with my Compaq laptop .

Problem :- My problem is i am unable to get 5.1 output from my laptop. My laptop model is:- CQ40 425TU. I am using windows7 OS and my sound card is IDT - High Definition Audio .

I have tried so many drivers but they dint worked

Expected help from you :-

1. I want to know weather this problem will get solved by any drivers else do i need to buy any new 5.1 sound card ? if this is the case then ..

2. Which is the best sound card will fulfill my requirements ?

I haven't looked at your computer yet, but how are you connecting to the Home Theater System? In some cases, you need to set a specific type of output for that connection.
