I had to format my hard drive and try to reinstall windows vista. The installation gets to the fourth part and displays "windows could not prepare the computer to boot into the next phase of the installation. To install windows restart the installation." And i've tried restarting it a few dozen times and it gets to that part and says that everytime, i tried some stuff that had worked for other people that had the same problem on this forum and some others and it still hasn't worked. Does anyone know what could be wrong and how to fix it?

Is your rig overclocked??
If so it is not advisable to try and install on an overclocked machine [or do a bios update for that matter]. Return all bios settings to stock and do the install AFTER you test the memory.
