Installation/ USB

    I have a pc that has a bad CD/ROM ! But, i would like to know how i can install windows without a CD/ROM, preferably a USB ! I know installing windows from a USB is possible but, i need directions.

    My motherboard is,,,,,, via ak77-8xn

    Any help ?

    If you check the net, there are many places that explain how. If you do not have a DVD to copy the files from it may not help.

    But check this Microsoft site.

    I have a laptop also where i will copy windows files to usb from. However, i would like to know if this particular motherboard supports USB boot ?

    Go into the bios and look. Sometimes, motherboard bios sees the usb drive as another hard drive. So also keep that in mind while looking.
