I have windows 7 professional on my desktop at the moment, but im having some trouble with certain programmes that arent compatible.
[Yes ive tried to run as admin and use the compatability thing all failed]

I have a vista vista ultimate 32bit dvd that I was using before I took it off so I could just have windows 7

I am going to partition my hard drive and install vista on a partition.

Will this cause any problems?
With the bootmgr?

I remember'd seeing something like this and a high-post count member said not to install XP after windows 7

'Imagination',

Hi & Welcome to Windows 7 Forums :)

In answer to your original query...
"I have a vista vista ultimate 32bit dvd that I was using before I took it off so I could just have windows 7.
I am going to partition my hard drive and install vista on a partition.
Will this cause any problems?
With the bootmgr?"
No; You just end up w/ W7 on 1 drive & Vista on 1 (other)... @ boot hits a screen (blk w/ white writing) where you select OS of choice, both will be listed.

"I remember'd seeing something like this and a high-post count member said not to install XP after windows 7 "
Why this mention of XP when above you just refered to (having) Vista?????

Cheers,
Drew

I thought it had something to do with windows seven not the installed-after OS.

Thanks, ill get to it ^.^
