I downloaded windows 7 and now my internet is very very slow. I cant play online video games because the connection isnt fast enough. Why is my connection so slow?

I downloaded Win7. My internet connections arent as fast anymore and when in SWG I always have over 1000 ping. What can I do to make my internet connection faster?
(Im on the same internet provider that I had when I was on vista and it was much faster)

Boy, there are seven words, that only a couple years ago, I thought I would never hear. There are of course some basic things you can do, however your information regarding your system seems to have been cropped and then repeated. So if you could check your network adapter manufacturer and see if there is an updated driver for Win7 (By the way I don't think you mentioned the Win 7 version or if it's 32 or 64 bit) also check your router and see if there is a firmware update and then from an elevated command prompt type sfc /scannow and see if any system files are corrupt.
