I'm using Vonage Companion and I have a Skype phone plugged into a USB port. For some reason when WIN 7 goes to sleep it drops the drivers for the phone. So I unplug it and plug it back into the USB port and it would work fine. Later I found out I could go to the control panel. Click on Hardware & Sound, then click on Devices and Printers, right mouse click on my device and click troubleshoot and it would reset the phone to a working state.
I talked to Vonage and they have made no changes on their software to accomodate WIN 7. I thought WIN 7 would run all software that XP ran. So as far as I know when WIN7 goes to sleep, I have to reset my phone either through software or unplug it and plug it back in to the USB port. I hope this is a temporary problem.
Now if someone wanted to make it really slick they would enable the keypad on the skype phone.
