Hello
System is windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, Intel based.
The interactive prompts for address selection does not work, I will give an example in case my terminology is not quite correct.
EG. Load IE9 64 bit, home page is google, select maps, type in an adddress, the system will prompt below with a range of possibilities, in clicking on the selected/correct one IE9 will not return this address to the command line. I have tried it in Firefox and it works fine, any help to get it to work would be appreciated.....thanks.

Solution
It seems like you are experiencing an issue with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit specifically related to an interactive prompt for address selection not working as expected in Internet Explorer 9 (IE9) 64-bit. The problem occurs when selecting an address on Google Maps within IE9 and the selected address is not returned to the command line. Steps to Resolve the Address Selection Issue in Internet Explorer 9 (64-bit):

  1. Use Compatibility Mode:
    • Try using Internet Explorer in compatibility mode as some websites may not function properly in newer versions of IE. To do this, click on the gear icon in the top-right corner and select "Compatibility View settings". Add Google Maps to the list if it's not already there.
    []Reset Internet Explorer Settings:
    • Resetting IE9 to its default settings might help resolve any configuration issues that are causing the problem. Go to Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > Reset.
    [
    ]Check Add-ons and Plugins:
    • Disable any unnecessary add-ons or plugins that could be conflicting with the address selection feature. In IE9, go to Tools > Manage Add-ons and disable any plugins that are not essential.
    []Update Internet Explorer:
    • Ensure you have the latest updates for Internet Explorer 9. Sometimes, updating the browser can fix compatibility issues with certain websites.
    [
    ]Try 32-bit Version:
    • If possible, try using the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer as it might have better compatibility with the website.
    []Clear Browser Cache and Cookies:
    • Clearing the browser cache and cookies can sometimes help with website functionality. Go to Tools > Internet Options > General tab to clear browsing data.
    [
    ]Test with Different User Account:
    • Create a new user account and test if the issue persists in that account. This can help determine if the problem is user-specific.
  2. Check Security Settings:
    • Make sure your security settings in Internet Explorer are not blocking any scripts or functionalities on Google Maps.

      Additional Note:

    • Since you mentioned that the issue does not occur in Firefox, consider using Firefox as an alternative until the issue is resolved in IE9. Try these steps and see if any of them help in resolving the address selection problem in Internet Explorer 9 on your Windows 7 Home Premium system. Let me know if you need further assistance!
