Windows 7 issue in logon screen when starting up

hi i have windows 7 ultimate 64. when i turn on the computer from an off state the screen shows the bios screen and then the windows starting up screen but the screen then goes blank when i get to the user login screen. if i hit enter a few times it will generally log me into a user account. anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this issue. please let me know if more info is needed. - thanks, mike.

What steps have you taken to check for spyware, malware, adaware and virus's? I would start there first, then go from there.

i checked computer for virus' and spyware and nothing was found. any other ideas?

It may be a graphics problem. But at the moment we would be just guessing.

Could you please fill in your system specs? (click on the Settings button, top of any window, select Edit Profile on the left, then halfway down the page under Additional Information).

[lang=cs]mám stejný problém a tuším,že je to monitorem, protože na XP v poho, visty jsem přeskočil.
Popíšu 2 příklady:
1. monitor připojen VGA kabelem
- nabíhání počítače je vidět
- možnost dostat se do BIOSU ok
- obrazovka "spouští se systém Windows" je vidět
- potom blik, tma a okno na monitoru "Signal out of range" - to se (ne)zobrazila přihlašovací obrazovka win7
2.monitor je připojen DVI kabelem
- nabíhání počítače není vidět
- potom blik a jsme na přihlašovací obrazovce Win7 - můžeme se přihlásit

Proč si myslím,že je to monitorem?
Protože placku mám už starou Prestigio P174.
Když zapojím místo ní TV Samsung LCD LE32A55..... VGA kabelem, není žadný problém![/lang]
