how to Disable Monitor Off detection in windows 7

any one got a work around for this issue I have my TV plugged into my PC throw a HDMI cable and setup as a dual monitor in windows 7 ultimate
but when I turn off the TV the monitor connected to the PC changes for no reason and all I see is the windows logo that's on the monitor screen ‏

Is the monitor also HDMI? I wonder if there is a problem when you disable one or the other. What kind of video card and display hardware are you using?
